Isn't it amazing how strange it feels to sit in complete silence? It's something that, when you first try it, is hard to get through. We are so used to being constantly inundated with interruptions that it's hard to imagine what life was like before that.
But even in complete silence, our mind loves to make 'noises' of its own, doesn't it? Whether its reminding you of all the things you have to worry about or causing you to second-guess your value, intelligence, or abilities, most of that noise tends to be just a difficult to deal with as the audible sounds we're surrounded with each day.
